Hi, I'm Erin Donley, business communications specialist in Portland, Oregon. I help entrepreneurs discover potent and original ways to speak about themselves and their work... so they can stand out, make more money, and gain a following of both quality and quantity.
All my life, I’ve been called to get down to the truth, relentlessly examine fear, and reveal what cannot be spoken.
As a kid, my favorite TV show was Divorce Court. I spent hours reading tombstones at cemeteries and knew every Barry Manilow song by heart. I faked being sick when my horoscope requested caution and was entranced by the dark hidden life of Joan Crawford in the movie Mommy Dearest.
By age 10, a therapist labeled me, “addicted to drama.” For the next 20 years, I tried to act, live, and speak in safe and superficial ways, but the urge to say what’s REAL eventually took over.
In 2006, I left a long-time sales/marketing career in radio to serve at the spiritual hub of Portland, New Renaissance Bookshop. Finally, I could merge with those who liked the unseen and unheard of things in life.
I became the “eyes and ears” of the store in a email column that's sent to over 5000 subscribers each week. For five years, I've shared countless personal stories about the trends, teachers, and products in healing, personal growth and modern-day spirituality.
This connected me to “Truth Lovers” and “Honesty Advocates” everywhere. Authors, healers, teachers, and consultants began seeking me out to help them articulate the value and purpose of their work.
This is how Marketing Your Truth was born. The more I became seen and heard for who I truly was, the more I knew how to help others do the same.
Today, I’m a writer, speaker, consultant, and the host of Reveal What’s Real, an online and local Portland TV show that talks to courageous people about the unspoken sides of their lives. My ultimate intention is to move us toward greatness while being 100% ourselves.
